This was the pen name of a cartoonist who's work appeared in Punch magazine in the late 30s and he was not only very popular, he was rightly so. A great observer of the British and their foibles. I came across his work and have developed a series of drawings based on his ideas and observations and put my own take on them. You can read more about this interesting man's career right here.
I had an exhibition of this work a couple of years ago. Pont's work was usually in black and white and mine is too.
I hope you enjoy them as the tribute they were intended.
